The Washington Waldorf School welcomes visitors, and we would be delighted to get to know you. We hold a variety of open house and information events for prospective students and their families.
2012-2013 Admission Events
We warmly invite you to attend one or more of the following events to learn about our school. Please visit us and see why we think Waldorf education offers A Better Way to Learn.
Observation Mornings for Parents
Observation Mornings include a presentation on the philosophy and approach of Waldorf education and visits to five classes to see the Waldorf approach “in action.” The tour spans the grades, observing our youngest students in the Children’s Garden, several Lower School grades, and a class in the High School. Observation Mornings begin at 8:00 a.m. in the school library and end in the library at 10:30 following a Q & A period. These events are for adults.

Children's Garden Open Houses for the Whole Family, 10:00 a.m. - noon

High School Open Houses
- October 20, 2012, 10-noon
High School Open House Days is for middle school and high school age students and their parents. The morning begins at 10:00 a.m. with a presentation about the Waldorf approach for the high school years and then offers an opportunity to speak with teachers and alumni. Brunch will be served, prepared by Chef Eron.
High School Open Days 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
High School Open Days are for middle school and high school age students and their parents. The morning begins at 8:00 a.m. with a presentation about the Waldorf approach for the high school years and then offers an opportunity to sit in on a number of classes for the morning. Visitors are invited to stay for an organic lunch from Chef Eron at 12:30.
