WWS is pleased to offer a full lunch service for all students, prepared by our very own Chef Eron. Our lunches are wholesome, balanced, and largely organic, not to mention delicious! We also offer vegetarian, vegan, dariy free, and gluten free options, and seconds are generally available. We deliver lunch to Children's Garden classes and to Grades 1-6. Students in Grades 7-12 get lunch from the cafeteria.
There are three ways to get lunch. (We are no longer offering the online ordering option. However, you can pay for lunch through your FACTS account.)
Order annually: The most convenient and least expensive way to get lunch is to order for the full year. There are 160 lunch days and the total for the year is $800. That's just $5/day. It's like getting 15 lunches free! You may write a check for $800 or we can deduct $100/month from September 2015 to April 2016, with your tuition payment.
Order monthly: You can order monthly using the menu form listing above. The cost per meal is $6. Please turn in your order form to Stacey Kornegay.
At the door: If you do not order in advance annually or by using the monthly form, the cost will be $7 per lunch, payable in cash only at the door. We will no longer be able to offer a lunch "tab."
Please feel contact Stacey Kornegay at 301-229-6107 x121 or by email if you have any questions or to set up a lunch payment plan.
Parent volunteers who help prepare and serve lunch are a vital part of our food service program. Not only do volunteers help moderate the cost of lunch, but they also have fun and build their cooking skills working with Chef Eron. Two volunteer shifts are available, from 8:30-11 a.m. or 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. All volunteers are entitled to eat lunch for free on the day they work. Alumni and alumni parents are also warmly welcomed to volunteer in the kitchen.
